Day 49-perfected dog food recipe!

I finally perfected the dog food recipe, bumping it up even further and making it more nutritionally complete.

Wandering around Callahans General Store, as I was buying straw (finally getting some grass in that yard!) I stumbled across Canine Red Cell and Brewers Yeast, two things that add a good amount of protein and vitamins that  may have been lacking a little.

Recipe: (this is enough to make enough food for 5 dogs for 5 days)

4 pounds ground turkey
2 pounds ground salmon
2 pounds chicken chunks w
6 C. Brown Rice
1/2 pound chicken hearts
1/2 pound beef liver
5 cups chopped sweet potatoes
4 cups chopped carrots
4 cups peas
2 cans pumpkin
2 tbs olive oil
(Boil all the veggies and rice until soft, cook meat separately at 350 for 1/2 hour, combine meat, vegetables and rice, add the pumpkin and olive oil, cook together for another 1/2 hour.)

When serving, for Dos, I add 1 tbs flax seeds, 1 fish oil capsul, 1/2 tbs calcium powder(i use ground eggshell) 1 tbs brewers yeast, and 2 tbs red cell. ( there's instructions on the bottle!)

There may be a few tweaks here and there- but I think this is going to be the Dos Superfood Recipe!
